Central approval is administered by the Norwegian Building Authority
Central approval is a voluntary scheme. The companies included have applied to the Norwegian Building Authority for approval and have documented that they meet the requirements. The aim of the scheme is to promote quality and conscientiousness among all players in the construction industry. It is an offence to misuse the seal of quality.
REST-API for companies with central approval
In addition to SGregister as a website for searching companies with central approval, we have also established a REST API that can be used to quickly look up and retrieve data from the register. The target audience for this API is data systems and websites that want to check whether a company has central approval. The API is open and freely available to anyone who wishes to use it. System owners do not need to register their usage with the Norwegian Building Authority. However, we encourage users not to store data from the register permanently, but rather to use the API for direct or regular lookups.
The API “SGregister – Register over foretak med sentral godkjenning“ is listed in the National Data Catalog and consists of two versions. Version 1 returns data about a single company if it has central approval, and version 2 returns data about all companies with central approval.
